The Villa

This eco villa boasts an open-air design, embracing its natural surroundings and eliminating its carbon footprint with solar panels. Opting for natural ventilation is an accurate model for sustainable living, ensuring that every stay is as environmentally responsible as it is comfortable. Experience the ultimate blend of history and eco-friendliness at this stunning carbon-neutral property. The house is naturally cooled by the breeze from the Atlantic Ocean, which makes the indoor temperature comfortable enough to use a blanket at night. The house has recently added a/c units in two of the bedrooms for those with sensitivity to the tropics.

Location

The location is an oasis of tranquillity, yet it is less than a 10-minute drive to reach the main town of Port Elizabeth, the bars & restaurants of the Belmont Walkway and the calm waters lapping onto the white sands of Princess Margaret & Lower Bay. In addition, the two neighbouring beaches, Ravine Bay and Hope Bay, are only a short hike away from the property.

Inside

Within the main building lies a large banquet-style kitchen with a magnificent dining room area that turns into a magical setting at night. Enjoy a home-style BBQ using the charcoal grill, surrounded by the estate’s stunning views and lush surroundings. Fibre optic cable ensures that the wifi is quick and reliable for those who work remotely, or just to stay connected with friends and family.

Sleeping

Five uniquely styled suites comfortably accommodate 12 guests. Two of the bedrooms are air-conditioned, the remaining rooms are very open and take advantage of the natural atlantic breezes. The two-bedroom primary suite is located on the second floor of the Old Fort building. This spacious suite features a large bedroom with a king-sized four-poster bed a second bedroom with a queen bed), a custom-designed bathroom with a pebbled bathtub, and a sitting room with a library. The suite boasts beautiful hardwood floors, high arched hardwood ceilings with ceiling fans, and two balconies with stunning views of the estate and the surrounding islands. This room has windows on two sides and is very open so have a wonderful breeze, this room does not have air conditioning

A second suite at the top of the central tower offers breathtaking 360-degree views through its many windows. This king-sized four-poster bed suite also has a sofa, an en-suite bathroom with an open pebbled shower, and a ceiling fan to keep the room cool. Wake up with all the Grenadine Islands in view.

The third suite is in the central tower, offering a romantic atmosphere with ancient stone walls. This suite features a large four-poster king-sized bed, a sitting area, and an en-suite pebbled shower bathroom accessed from a private balcony.

A fourth suite is located on the ground floor of the main tower and features hardwood floors throughout. It includes a sitting area, a king-sized four-poster bed, and an en-suite pebbled shower bathroom.

A fifth suite is in a separate building above the outdoor bar and pool area. It features a queen-sized bed with an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony with views of the Grenadine Islands, including Grenada, on a clear day. This room has a fan.

We are very flexible; let us know your requirements, and we will happily accommodate you. For example, if you have children or require additional beds, we would happily do so.

Available services include airport/ferry transfers, shuttle to town/beaches, chef services upon request, and private speedboat charters to Mustique & the Tobago Cays.
