Flying to Bequia

Bequia is a laid-back, untouched paradise – the authentic Caribbean -and it’s more accessible than you might think, with direct flights from the UK, US, and Canada. You can also take a direct flight from Barbados or St. Lucia, with a flight time of around 30 minutes.

This short journey will take you away from big-scale resorts, shopping malls, noisy traffic, and crowded beaches to an island of natural splendour, swaying palms, idyllic beaches, lush green hillsides, and a friendly, unhurried lifestyle.

Summer

Virgin Atlantic flies from London to St. Vincent via Barbados, continuing to St. Vincent on Wednesdays and Sundays. Same-day ferry connections to Bequia are available with the various Bequia Ferry services up to 26 Oct 2025 and resume again from 26 Mar 2026.

Winter

Virgin’s winter schedule (30 Oct 2025 – 22 Mar 2026) lands in St. Vincent at 5:35 PM, requiring either an overnight stay in St. Vincent before taking the ferry to Bequia the next day – or – we can book a private power boat for you to get you and your party over to Bequia after the ferry’s stop running.

Fly direct from Barbados or St. Lucia to Bequia

Scheduled and charter flights are available with Mustique Airways or  SVG Air (operating under the Grenadine Alliance). Same-day connections are often available, and the flight takes about 35 minutes  – or up to an hour with stops (island hopping). Either way, you’ll enjoy spectacular views over the Grenadines.

Note: Bequia Air ceased operations in 2024.

Travel Tips

Sit on the right-hand side of the plane from Barbados to Bequia for the best views – either of Bequia directly, or the Grenadines (Mayreau, Canouan, Tobago Cays) if the flight stops at Union Island.

For a hassle-free same-day connection from Barbados to Bequia:
Tie a yellow ribbon to your luggage and take a photo before departure.
Upon arrival in Barbados, airport staff will greet you with a sign and escort you to a private lounge.
They will collect your luggage and transfer it to the Bequia flight for you.
You’ll be personally escorted to the aircraft. It’s all part of the service — and makes you feel like a rock star!
