24 January – 1 February 2026
If you love live music in unforgettable settings, the Bequia Music Festival 2026 should be firmly on your radar. Taking place from 24 January to 1 February, this iconic Caribbean festival brings world-class performances to the shores of one of the Grenadines’ most charming islands.
Often described as “fabulous music,” “something for everyone,” and “a unique, intimate and friendly atmosphere,” the Bequia Music Festival is refreshingly different. Bequia is small, welcoming, and wonderfully unpretentious — meaning you’re never lost in a crowd. Instead, you’re right there, sharing the experience with musicians, locals, and fellow music lovers alike.
The roots of the Bequia Music Festival go back to 2002, when the Bequia Tourism Association hosted its very first Music Fest. Then-chairperson Patricia Mitchell invited Basil Charles’ Mustique Blues Festival to perform in Bequia for a single night — an event that proved so popular it sparked a tradition.
By 2004, the Bequia Music Festival was officially established. Since then, the island has welcomed an eclectic mix of international, regional, and local artists, spanning genres from jazz and soul to Caribbean rhythms and contemporary sounds.
Artists and audiences alike fall for Bequia’s laid-back pace, off-beat charm, and the genuine warmth of its community. Now celebrating its 20th year, the festival has earned its reputation as one of the coolest and most respected live music events in the Caribbean, lovingly organised by the Bequia Tourism Association and its Musicfest Committee.
One of the festival’s defining features is its location. Events are held across multiple beachfront venues, all right on the water. Some are easy to walk to, while others invite you to arrive by dinghy and tie up at the dock — a uniquely Bequia experience.
Venues are intimate without feeling crowded, giving every guest a clear view of the performers while keeping the atmosphere relaxed, social, and connected.
